Prepare Your Video Introduction

Your introduction helps us understand your communication skills, personality and teaching approach.

  • Appear clearly in your own video.
  • Keep the video between 1 and 3 minutes.
  • Speak the languages you intend to teach.
  • Record horizontally in a 16:9 aspect ratio.
  • Position your camera at eye level.
  • Use a stable surface or tripod.
  • Use good front-facing lighting, ideally daylight.
  • Choose a quiet place with a tidy background.

  • Avoid poor lighting or night-time recording.
  • Do not position the microphone too close to your mouth.

Before submitting: Upload your introduction to YouTube, review its visibility settings, copy the video link, and paste it into the application form. Use an unlisted video if appropriate for your privacy needs and confirm the review team can access it.
